Overview

The Coram web app is designed to provide a comprehensive and intuitive platform for managing your security cameras, monitoring activity on your premises, and analyzing data. Whether you’re overseeing a single location or multiple sites, the main navigation menu offers a range of tools to enhance your surveillance capabilities.

The Main Navigation Menu

Live View: access live camera feeds and timelines

Live View is your real-time monitoring hub that displays live video feeds from all your connected cameras. Use Live View to keep an eye on multiple locations simultaneously and access detailed timelines for each camera.

  • Access Live View:

    1. Sign in to the Coram web app.

    2. From the main navigation menu, select Live View.

  • Monitor Multiple Cameras:

    • View live feeds from all your cameras in one place.

    • Use the filter options to show cameras by location or group.

    • Search for specific cameras by name using the search bar.

  • Access Timeline View:

    • Click on any live feed to open the Timeline view for that camera.

    • Review recorded footage, search for events, and analyze activity directly from the timeline.

Personal Wall: create custom video feed layouts

Personal Wall allows you to create, manage, and share custom layouts of your cameras, enhancing your ability to monitor multiple feeds simultaneously.

  • Create Personal Walls:

    1. Sign in to the Coram web app.

    2. From the main navigation menu, select Personal Wall.

    3. Click Create Personal Wall and choose a layout (4, 9, 16, 25, or 36 cameras).

    4. Drag and drop your selected cameras into the grid.

  • Manage Personal Walls:

    • Edit existing walls by rearranging cameras or changing the layout size.

    • Share your Personal Walls with team members for collaborative monitoring.

  • Synchronize Playback:

    • Play recorded videos in synchronization across all cameras in the wall, allowing you to review events from multiple angles simultaneously.

Devices: manage cameras, appliances, & locations

Manage your cameras and your Coram Point appliances seamlessly through the Devices section. Add new cameras, configure settings, monitor device status, organize cameras into groups, manage locations, and create detailed floor plans for streamlined oversight.

  • Access Devices:

    • Sign in to the Coram web app.

    • From the main navigation menu, select Devices.

  • Add New Cameras:

    • Click + Add Camera.

    • Follow the prompts to integrate new cameras into your system, ensuring they connect properly and appear in your device list.

  • Manage Camera Settings:

    • Adjust settings such as resolution, bitrate, frame rate, and codec to optimize performance.

    • Activate or deactivate cameras as needed.

    • Assign Cameras to Groups

  • Manage Locations:

    • Add, edit, or remove locations to accurately reflect your physical premises.

    • Assign cameras to specific locations to enhance organization and ease of access.

  • Create Floor Plans:

    • Upload a bird’s-eye view of your premises.

    • Drag and drop camera icons onto the floor plan to visualize camera placements.

    • Use the floor plan to manage and monitor camera locations easily, ensuring comprehensive coverage and optimal placement.

  • Manage Coram Point Appliance:

    • Access detailed settings and status information for your Coram Point appliance.

    • Manage configurations, update firmware, and ensure the appliance operates at peak performance to support all connected cameras effectively.

Discover: search your recordings for practically anything

Discover leverages natural language processing to help you search through your video footage.

  • Conduct Searches:

    1. Sign in to the Coram web app.

    2. From the main navigation menu on the left, select Discover.

    3. Enter your search queries using everyday language (e.g., “delivery vehicle” or "security guard with keys").

  • Filter Results:

    • Refine your search by location, camera, and time frame to quickly locate relevant footage.

  • Review Clips:

    • Browse through the search results and view the corresponding video clips directly within the Discover interface.

Alerts: create and manage custom alert notifications

Alerts enables you to set up and manage notifications for various events and activities detected by your cameras.

  • Set Up Alerts:

    1. Sign in to the Coram web app.

    2. From the main navigation menu, select Alerts.

    3. Click + Create Alert and choose the type of alert (e.g., person of interest, license plate detection, or trespassing).

    4. Assign specific cameras and define regions of interest within those cameras where alerts should be triggered.Select days and times when the alert should be active.

    5. Select groups of recipients who will receive email or SMS notifications when an alert is triggered.

  • View alert triggers:

    • From the Alerts Feed, view a list of all alerts that were triggered by your cameras.

Archive: Access and share stored video clips

The Archive section allows you to store, manage, and access video clips beyond the standard retention period.

  • View Archived Clips:

    1. Sign in to the Coram web app.

    2. From the main navigation menu, select Archive.

    3. Browse through stored clips by name, tag, or owner.

  • Manage Archives:

    • Share archived clips with team members.

    • Search for specific clips using filters.

    • Permanently store important footage for long-term access.

  • Access AI Analytics:

    1. Sign in to the Coram web app.

    2. From the main navigation menu, select AI Analytics.

  • Manage Faces and Persons of Interest:

    • Faces: Browse all detected faces, filter by location, camera, and time frame, create profiles, and view journey paths.

    • Profiles: View and manage existing profiles, upload images of faces, and assign names.

    • Persons of Interest: Designate specific profiles to receive real-time alerts and assign notification groups.

  • Detailed Analysis:

    • Use AI Analytics to track and respond to recognized individuals across multiple cameras, enhancing your security measures.

Insights: Create custom report dashboards

Insights allows you to create detailed report dashboards containing graphs, counters, and lists of video clips based on specific criteria.

  • Create Reports:

    1. Sign in to the Coram web app.

    2. From the main navigation menu, select Insights.

    3. Select the type of report you want to generate (e.g., Activity in a region, Line crossing, Object count) and configure settings.

  • Customize Dashboards:

    • Add graphs, counters, and lists of clips to visualize your data effectively.

    • Use time frames, cameras, and regions of interest to filter and display relevant information.

Kiosk: Share your personal walls externally

The Kiosk page enables you to display your Personal Walls on any web-enabled screen without requiring viewers to log in to Coram.

  • Create a Kiosk Wall:

    1. Ensure you have at least one Personal Wall created.

    2. Sign in to the Coram web app.

    3. From the main navigation menu, select Kiosk

    4. Click Create Kiosk Wall.

    5. Choose one or more Personal Walls to include in the kiosk display.

  • Select a Kiosk Type:

    • Rotating Kiosk: Display multiple Personal Walls in rotation, setting the duration each wall is shown.

    • Static Kiosk: Continuously display a single Personal Wall without rotation.

  • Obtain and Use Kiosk URL:

    • Receive a unique URL for your kiosk wall.

    • Open the URL on any web browser to view the kiosk wall without logging in.

    • Embed the Kiosk Wall using the embed code.
