  4. Configure the following settings as required.

Facial Recognition

Coram's facial recognition technology. Enable this feature to allow Coram to identify faces, and to send notifications for Person of Interest alerts.

Warning: Disabling this feature prevents Person of Interest alert notifications and management of Faces and Profiles in the AI Analytics page.

Automatic Logout (HIPAA-Compliant)

Logs users out automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity. Enable this feature to ensure HIPAA compliance.

License Plate Recognition

Coram's licence plate recognition technology. Enable this feature to allow Coram to identify licence plates, and to send notifications for Licence Plate of Interest alerts.

Warning: Disabling this feature prevents Person of Interest alert notifications.

Access-Prevention for Coram Support

Enable this feature to prevent Coram Support staff from accessing your organization.

Note: Enabling the toggle switch for this feature prevents access, and stops Coram Support staff from being able to diagnose and fix most common issues.

Audio Streaming

Use this feature to enable audio streaming for all your cameras, or to enable the ability to individually manage audio streaming for each of your cameras.

Note: This option is only available for cameras that support audio streaming.

WebRTC Streaming

Use this feature to enable low-latency, real-time WebRTC streaming for all your cameras, or to enable the ability to individually manage WebRTC streaming for each of your cameras. To learn more, refer to WebRTC Streaming.

Note: This feature enables real-time streaming for Timeline View, Personal Wall, and the Coram mobile app.

Video Wall Camera Bitrate

Adjust this setting to determine the bitrate for all camera streams that appear on any video wall. This includes Live View, Personal Wall, and Kiosk modes. The following options are available:

  • 128 kbps

  • 256 kbps

  • 512 kbps

  • 1 Mbps

Note: This setting applies for all cameras connected to your organization in Coram. Lowering the bitrate can help optimise uplink bandwidth usage, particularly when streaming multiple cameras from the same location on a video wall.

Network Scanning

Adjust this setting to determine how your Coram Point appliances scan your network for new cameras, and for new or updated IP addresses for existing cameras. The following options are available:

  • Automatic - Your network is scanned automatically for new cameras every 5 minutes.

  • Manual - Your network is scanned only when you access the Add New Cameras page.

  • Scheduled - Your network is scanned automatically according to a schedule, or when you access the Add New Cameras page.

Tip: Automatic network scanning can generate high levels of ARP traffic. If this causes network issues, change the setting to Scheduled and limit scans to periods of low or no traffic, or change the setting to Manual to prevent automatic scans entirely.
