Connecting a Display to Coram Point

Learn how to connect an external display to your Coram Point appliance for offline monitoring of cameras.

Updated this week

Overview

Connecting a monitor or TV directly to your Coram Point appliance provides a reliable way to display a live video wall of all cameras that are associated with that Coram Point. This feature works without relying on an internet connection, and is ideal for continuous, local monitoring, even during network outages, ensuring you always have access to real-time camera feeds.

Hardware Requirements

  • A Coram Point that is connected, registered, and powered on.

  • A monitor or TV with a Display Port input.

  • A Display Port cable, to connect the Coram Point to the display

Steps to Connect a Monitor

  1. Ensure your Coram Point device is powered on and functioning.

  2. Locate the Display Port on the Coram Point device. Do not use the mini DisplayPort for connecting your monitor.

  3. Connect your monitor or TV to the Coram Point’s Display Port using the Display Port cable.

  4. Power on the connected monitor or TV.

  5. Wait up to 30 seconds for the live video wall to appear on the display.
