Coram enables you to group cameras for efficient organization and management. You can also add a custom location name and physical address for your Coram Point appliances, which automatically assigns those details to all connected IP cameras, and create floor plans for a quick visual representation of your camera setup.

Assign Cameras to a Group
From the main navigation menu, go to Devices. Find the relevant camera, then select or create a group from the Group dropdown. Changes are saved automatically.
Filter and View Cameras by Group
From the main navigation menu, go to Live View, then use the Groups dropdown to filter cameras by one or more groups.
Rename or Delete Groups
Manual deletion or renaming is not supported. Empty groups are removed automatically after 30 minutes. For renaming, create a group with a new name and add cameras as required.
Manage locations
From the main navigation menu, go to Devices > Locations to create or update a location. To assign the location to a Coram Point appliance, go to Devices > Appliances, find the appliance you want to update, and choose a new location from the dropdown menu.
Create and Manage Floor Plans
Upload a top-down image of your site, place and position camera icons, and optionally share the resulting floor plan with other users.

Overview
Grouping cameras within the Coram web app helps you to organize and manage your surveillance system. By assigning cameras to specific groups, you can categorize them based on location, function, or any criteria that suit your operational needs.
This organization enhances navigation efficiency and overall system management. You and other users in your organization can quickly access relevant camera feeds without having to browse through all available cameras.
Tip: For example, a warehouse cold storage operator might divide cameras into the following groups:
Gate
Parking Lots
Exterior Doors
Entrances and Hallways
Break Rooms
Cold Storage Areas
Loading Docks
Office Spaces
You can also create floor plans, which allow you to visualize the real-world layout, positioning, orientation and FoV of your cameras for a highly-digestible overview of your camera setup.
Camera Groups
Assigning Cameras to Groups
To assign a camera to a group:
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
From the main navigation menu, select Devices.
The Cameras tab is selected by default.
Find the camera you want to assign to a group, and click the corresponding Group dropdown menu.

Do any of the following:
Select one or groups that you want to assign the camera to.
Click Add New, then type the name of a new group.
Your changes are saved automatically.
Note: Groups not assigned to any camera will be automatically deleted after 30 minutes to keep your system organized.
Viewing Cameras Assigned to a Specific Group
The Coram AI app allows you to filter and view live feeds of your cameras by group.
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
From the main navigation menu, select Live View.
The Live View page loads, and shows all your cameras by default.
In the top-left corner of the page, use the Groups dropdown menu to select one or more groups from the list.
The list filters automatically.
Deleting and Renaming Groups
You cannot actively delete or rename groups. Groups are deleted automatically. To assign cameras to a group with a new name, refer to Assigning Cameras to Groups.
Locations
Location are used to easily distinguish and identify Coram Point devices that are added to your organization in Coram, and determine the location details for each of your cameras. You can create custom location names and addresses and assign them to your Coram Point devices.
Note: The location for each IP camera is assigned based on on the Coram Point to which it is connected. Coram Point manages this assignment automatically, so you can't directly change the location for an individual camera.
To change the location name for a Coram Point appliance
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
From the main navigation menu, choose Devices, then click the Locations tab.

Do one of the following:
To edit an existing location, click the corresponding edit icon (
).
To assign the location to a Coram Point appliance, go to Devices > Appliances, find the appliance you want to update, and choose a new location from the dropdown menu., refer to Registering Your Coram Point.
Note: Changes to location names require admin rights and can affect how cameras are organized within the Coram web app
Floor Plans
Floor Plans let you upload a top-down image—such as a blueprint, satellite image, or building layout—and visually map camera positions within your premises. This feature provides a clear overview of camera coverage across different rooms, buildings, or entire sites.
Viewing Existing Floor Plans
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
From the main navigation menu, go to Devices > Floor Plans.
In the top-left corner, select a location from the dropdown to see floor plans associated with that location.
Use the Actions menu to edit or delete a selected floor plan, or to access shared floor plans, to view which plans are shared, share or unshare them, edit sharing details, copy share links, or refresh existing links.
Creating a Floor Plan
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
From the main navigation menu, go to Devices > Floor Plans.
Click + Create Floor Plan.

Upload an image for your floor plan by dragging and dropping a file into the window, or by clicking Browse Computer.
The file uploads automatically, and is displayed as your floor plan image.
On the right side of the page, from the Locations dropdown menu, select the corresponding location of the floor plan.
Provide a descriptive name for the floor plan.
To see a list of available cameras for to the location you chose, Click Unassigned Cameras.
Drag and drop each camera from the list onto the image as required.
A camera icon appears, including a field-of-view (FoV) wedge.Adjust the camera by moving, rotating, or resizing the icon to reflect its real-world positioning.
To remove a camera from a floor plan, find the camera in Assigned Cameras, click the three-dots menu ( ⫶ ), then click Remove from Floor Plan.
Sharing Floor Plans
You can create a link to share an individual floor plan or a group of multiple floor plans.
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
From the main navigation menu, go to Devices > Floor Plans.
Click Actions > Shared Floor Plans.

In the top right corner, click + Share Floor Plan.
The Share Floor Plans drawer appears.
Type a name for the floor plan share.
From the dropdown menu, select the floor plans you want to share.
To set an expiry for the external link, enable the Expires In toggle switch, then select an expiry period.
Click Share.
The floor plan appears in the list of shared floor plans with a public link.As required, do any of the following:
Click the link to open it in a new window.
To copy the link, click the copy icon.
To refresh the link, click the refresh icon.
To disable sharing, click the toggle switch.
To edit or delete the shared floor plan, or to send a link to specific email addresses or phone numbers, click the three-dots menu and select the corresponding option.
Your changes are saved automatically. The people you share the floor plan link with can view the layout, but cannot edit camera placements unless they also have the requisite permissions in Coram.
Best Practices for Managing Camera Groups
Consistent Naming Conventions: Use clear and descriptive names for groups to make them easily identifiable.
Logical Organization: Group cameras in ways that reflect physical layouts or operational functions.
Regular Management: Review and update group assignments periodically, especially when cameras are added, removed, or relocated.
