All Cameras and Coram Point are Offline

If every camera is listed as offline and your Coram Point appliance is also offline, this typically points to a local site-wide power or internet connectivity issue. Check the following:

  1. Check that your Coram Point appliance is receiving power, and ensure it is turned on.

  2. Verify that your internet connection is active by testing another device on the same network.

When Coram Point is online and there are no other issues, any connected cameras should come online automatically. If they remain offline, continue to the next section.

If Coram Point is online but all cameras show as offline, the network path between Coram Point and the cameras may be disrupted. Check the following:

  1. Confirm that any PoE switches are powered on and functioning properly.

  2. Ensure the LAN where the cameras are connected is accessible from Coram Point.

If the issue persists for all cameras, contact Coram support for further assistance.

An Individual Camera is Offline

When only one or a subset of cameras is offline, do the following:

  1. In the Coram web app, from the main navigation menu, click Devices.

  2. From the list, locate the camera that shows as offline. Look for a yellow warning triangle () next to the camera’s status. Hover over the warning triangle to show device status information.

  3. Review the following potential causes:

    • Incorrect Credentials

Although an incorrect login is not the most common cause, it can occasionally lead to an offline status for IP cameras. If an Invalid Credentials warning appears. Click the corresponding Settings button, and verify the username and password. If required, correct the credentials.

    • Camera is Unreachable

If you see an error message like Camera is not reachable the camera hardware or network path may be at fault. Check the camera’s physical connection (like cables, PoE ports, etc.). Then ping the camera’s IP address from Coram Point to confirm connectivity. If the camera remains unreachable, inspect the network switch or cables and ensure the camera is receiving power.

    • Camera is Not Activated

A camera might show offline if it has never been activated. Set the Activate toggle to enabled, then wait briefly for the camera to come online.

An Individual Camera Shows a Corrupted Image

If the camera feed appears black, white, or otherwise corrupted, you may need to power-cycle the camera:

  1. Unplug the camera’s PoE cable or disable its PoE port on the network switch.

  2. Plug it back in or enable PoE again.

  3. Wait for the camera to reboot and reconnect.
