Overview
Grouping cameras within the Coram web app helps you to organize and manage your surveillance system. By assigning cameras to specific groups, you can categorize them based on location, function, or any criteria that suit your operational needs.
This organization enhances navigation efficiency and overall system management. You and other users on your account can quickly access relevant camera feeds without having to browse through all available cameras.
Tip: For example, a warehouse cold storage operator might divide cameras into the following groups:
Gate
Parking Lots
Exterior Doors
Entrances and Hallways
Break Rooms
Cold Storage Areas
Loading Docks
Office Spaces

Locations
Location are used to easily distinguish and identify Coram Point devices that are added to your account, and determine the location details for each of your cameras. You can create custom location names and addresses and assign them to your Coram Point devices.
Note: The location for each IP camera is assigned based on on the Coram Point to which it is connected. Coram Point manages this assignment automatically, so you can't directly change the location for an individual camera.
To change the location name for a Coram Point device, refer to Registering Your Coram Point.
Note: Changes to location names require admin rights and can affect how cameras are organized within the Coram web app
