Overview
Each camera has an in-depth settings menu that allows you to configure and control various settings to suit your requirements.
Tip: In a camera's settings menu, you can also find information such as the IP address, MAC address, resolution, bit rate, codec, and FPS.
This article provides information and step-by-step instructions for managing your cameras in the Coram web app and provides suggestions for changing settings in your cameras' web interface.
Notes:
Before you can manage your cameras, you need to connect them to your Coram Point. To learn more, refer to Adding Cameras to Your Account.
Some settings are managed through the camera's web interface. To learn more, refer to Changing Settings in the Camera's Web Interface.
Changing Camera Settings in the Coram Web App
You can change the settings for a camera from the Devices page, or from the Timeline view for a camera.
To change the settings for a camera from the Devices page:
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
From the main navigation menu, click Devices.
The Cameras tab is selected by default.
For the camera you want to manage, click Settings.
The Camera Settings page appears.
Adjust the settings as required.
To change camera settings in the Timeline view, access the Timeline view for the camera you want to configure, then click the settings () icon. To learn more, refer to Timeline View.

To rename a camera, click the camera name. Type a new name, then click the checkmark to save your changes.
Enable License Plate Recognition

Licence plate recognition (LPR) is a powerful feature that allows you to capture and identify license plates. Before you can enable LPR for a specific camera, an admin user must enable LPR for your account. To learn more, refer to Settings: Controls.

Before you can record audio for a specific camera, an admin user must enable audio streaming for your account. To learn more, refer to Settings: Controls.
Notes:
To capture audio successfully, the microphone must also be enabled through the camera's web interface. To learn more, refer to Changing Settings in the Camera's Web Interface.
Only cameras with audio recording capabilities can capture and stream audio.
To enable audio recording for the chosen camera, from the camera settings menu, enable the Audio toggle switch.

WebRTC streaming provides low-latency, real-time video, enhancing the live viewing experience.
Before you can use WebRTC streaming in the Coram web app, an admin user must enable WebRTC for your account. To learn more, refer to Settings: Controls.
Notes:
Ensure your web browser supports WebRTC technology - most modern browsers do.
Network firewalls and security settings may impact WebRTC functionality. Consult your IT administrator if you encounter issues.
WebRTC may consume more bandwidth than standard streaming methods.
To enable WebRTC streaming for the chosen camera, from the camera settings menu, enable the WebRTC Streaming toggle switch.

If the chosen camera is installed sideways or upside down, you can rotate the video feed. From the camera settings menu, for Rotation, select the desired rotation angle: 90°, 180°, or 270°.

Coram uses a powerful image correction technology to automatically detect and correct the warping that occurs for fisheye camera. From the camera settings menu, you can choose the dewarping type, and set the camera position. To learn more, refer to Dewarping for Fisheye Cameras.

Deactivate a Camera
If you've reached the capacity limit of your Coram Point or your Coram license, but want to add a new camera, you can deactivate an old one without losing recordings. This stops the live video feed (including any recording in progress), and frees up a license slot, but retains all historical data.
To deactivate a camera, from the main list of cameras, locate the camera you want to deactive, and turn the Activate toggle switch off.
Delete a Camera
Deleting a camera permanently removes it from your Coram account and erases its historical data. This excludes videos you have added to your archive.
Important: This action is permanent cannot be undone.
To delete a camera, from the camera settings menu, click Delete Camera
Note: You can re-add a deleted camera, but its past data is not recoverable.
Note: Changes are applied automatically.
Changing Settings in the Camera's Web Interface
Some camera settings require you to make changes through the camera's on-board software, or web interface, which you can access through the Coram web app, (provided you are on the same local area network). The following information provides suggestions for changing these settings.

To access the camera's web interface through the Coram web app, from the camera settings menu, click Open Camera. This establishes a secure, encrypted tunnel from your Coram Point to your browser, and allows you to access and configure additional settings directly through the camera's web interface.
Changing a Camera Username and Password
To change the access credentials for a camera, go to the camera's web interface, ensuring you are on the same LAN.
Note: For Coram-branded IP cameras, the default credentials are:

If this password doesn't work, try 123456
.
