Verkada cameras aren’t ONVIF-compliant, but you canstill manually configure them to stream video in Coram. By enabling RTSP in the Verkada management portal and obtaining the camera’s local IP, RTSP credentials, port, and path, you can add the camera to your Coram organization.

Update Settings and Obtain Details in Verkada Command
In the camera's settings menu, obtain the local IP address for the camera, set the video codec to H.264, and enable RTSP. Then set and store the RTSP credentials, and note the RTSP port and path from the generated URLs.Add the Camera in the Coram Web App
Go to Devices, select Add Camera, then click the Manually Add Cameras tab. Set the location, provide an optional name for the camera, then add the local IP, RTSP port, username, and password, and click Activate.

In the Coram web app, access the camera's Settings menu and disable Auto Set RTSP URL, then replace “unknown” in the URL with the correct RTSP path, and verify the live feed.

Overview
Verkada cameras are not ONVIF-compliant and require manual configuration to stream video in Coram. By enabling RTSP in the Verkada management portal and providing the correct RTSP port and path in Coram, you can seamlessly monitor and record your Verkada cameras through Coram Point.

Configuring a Verkada Camera to Add to Coram
Before you can add a Verkada camera to your organization in Coram, you must do the following in Verkada Command:
Obtain the camera's local IP address
Set the camera's video codec to H.264
Enable RTSP for the camera
Set RTSP credentials
Obtain the camera's RTSP port and path
Log in to Verkada Command and navigate to Cameras Home.
For the camera you want to add to Coram, click the video thumbnail.
Below the video stream, click Settings.

Under General, write down the Local IP address.

In the settings sub-menu, click Device.

For Video Codec, select H.264
A screenshot that shows the location of the Video Codec setting.For Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP), enable the toggle switch, and enter an RTSP username and password. Write down these credentials in a secure location, then click Enable or Update.

Important: It is vital that you store the password in a secure location, as it will not display again in Verkada Command after you create it.
After you create the username and password, refresh the page, and return to the Device sub-section. Two RTSP URLs appear in the following format:
rtsp://<username>:[PASSWORD]@<camera-address>:port/path
For port, write down the number that is shown, for example
8554
.For path, choose either
standard
orhigh

Confirm that you have all of the required details for the camera, as follows:
Local IP, obtained in step 4
RTSP username and password, defined in step 7
RTSP Port, obtained in step 8
RTSP Path, obtained in step 8
Adding a Verkada Camera to Coram
Note: Adding cameras to your organization in Coram requires admin permissions.
Before you begin, ensure the following:
You have completed all the steps in Configuring and Enabling RTSP for Verkada Cameras, and have access to the following information for the camera you want to add:
Local IP address
RTSP username and password
RTSP port
RTSP path
To add a Verkada camera to Coram:
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
From the main navigation menu, click Devices, then click Add Camera.

At the top of the page, from the dropdown menu, choose the Location where the camera and Coram Point are installed.
Type an optional name for the camera.
Type the camera's Local IP address, RTSP Port, and RTSP username and password.
Click the checkbox for the camera, then click Activate.

A notification appears at the bottom of the page, confirming the addition.
Close the Add Cameras window, then locate the newly added camera in the list, and click the corresponding Settings button.

For Auto Set RTSP URL, disable the toggle switch, then, in the URL text field, click the padlock icon.

Replace
unknown
with the RTSP path ("standard
" or "high
"), then click the check mark icon.Wait briefly for the camera to appear online, then verify its feed in the Live View page.
