Manually Add Cameras
In the Coram web app, go to Devices > + Add Cameras, and select the Manually Add Cameras tab. Choose the location, and input each camera's name, IP address, credentials, and RTSP port. Click + New Camera to add more. Select all cameras you want to add, and click Activate.
Handle Xustom RTSP URLs if Necessary
For some ONVIF-compliant cameras requiring a specific RTSP profile, provide the custom RTSP URL path during setup.

Overview
Coram offers manual options for adding cameras to your Coram organization, which is useful if any of the following applies:
Your cameras are connected to a different network switch from your Coram Point.
There is a level-3 router connected in between your Coram Point and the cameras you want to detect.
You are using analog cameras connected through an encoder.
In each of these scenarios, you can still manually add cameras to your organization, as long as you have the IP address for those cameras.
Tip: Your Coram Point is configured to scan your network automatically to discover new IP cameras. To learn more, refer to Adding Cameras Automatically with Coram Point.
Manually Adding Cameras to Coram Point
Before you begin, ensure the following:
You have admin rights for your Coram organization. For support, contact your system administrator.
You have connected your Coram Point device and any IP cameras you want to add. To learn more, refer to Connecting Coram Point to Your Network.
You have registered your Coram Point device. To learn more, refer to Registering Your Coram Point.
You have the credentials and RTSP port value for the cameras you want to add. To learn more, refer to Camera Credentials.
A static IP address is assigned to the cameras you want to add, and you have access to those addresses.
Note: For some advanced cloud-based deployments, appropriate firewall and NAT configurations may be necessary. For support, contact your system administrator.
To add cameras to your organization manually:
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
From the main navigation menu, click Devices.
In the top-right corner of the page, click + Add Camera.

From the Location dropdown menu, select the physical location where your Coram Point and the new cameras are situated.
To add a camera to the list, do the following:
Type an optional name for the camera to help identify it in your organization.
Type the IP address for the camera.
Type the username and password for the camera.
Ensure the RTSP port value is correct, according to the camera manufacturer. The default RTSP port value for most camera manufacturers is: 554.
To add another camera, at the bottom of the list, click + New Camera, then repeat step 6.
Select the checkboxes for all the cameras you want to add, then click Activate.
The cameras are added to your organization and you can access them immediately.
Note: Coram can automatically obtain the RTSP stream URL for most ONVIF-compliant cameras, but in some cases, you must provide the RTSP profile to add the camera successfully. To learn more, refer to Adding Cameras That Require a Custom RTSP URL Path.
Camera Credentials
Note: Usernames and passwords for your cameras are not the same as the username and password you use to sign in to your Coram account.
Coram IP Cameras
Default username: admin
Default password: admin123!
Tip: If this password doesn't work, try 123456
Third-Party Cameras
For third-party cameras, the default username and password is set by the manufacturer, and any custom password is set by the company that installed your previous system.
Tip: If the company that installed your previous system cannot provide the usernames and passwords for your cameras, try the following:
Find the default username and password by searching online using the camera manufacturer and model name.
Factory reset your cameras. For more information, consult the manufacturer documentation.
Support for Third-Party Cameras
Coram is compatible with any IP camera that complies with the ONVIF standard, including fixed-lens, pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ), fisheye, and multi-sensor cameras. You can normally add most third-party cameras using the steps described above, and you will need to provide the camera's username and password during the setup process.
Coram Point also supports cameras from Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti. To integrate these cameras, you need to enable the RTSP stream within their respective management portals - please follow the official instructions provided by the manufacturers:
Cisco Meraki Cameras: To enable RTSP for Cisco Meraki MV cameras, refer to the official guide: Cisco Meraki - External RTSP. This guide includes accessing the Meraki dashboard and enabling RTSP.
Ubiquiti Cameras (UniFi Protect): To enable RTSP for Ubiquiti UniFi Protect cameras, refer to the UniFi Help Center. Coram recommends asking UniFi's AI chat agent about how to enable RTSP.
For either service, after you enable RTSP, the system will provide an RTSP URL for each camera. Make sure to copy this URL for integration with Coram Point. To learn more, refer to Adding Cameras Using an RTSP URL.
Notes:
Some features on Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti cameras may require specific licenses or firmware versions to enable RTSP streaming.
Keep your camera firmware up to date to ensure compatibility and security, and always use strong, unique passwords for your camera.
