Use the Search field to find a specific appliance by name.
Click Export to download the appliance list. This is useful for auditing your hardware inventory or sharing appliance details with your team.
Changing an Appliance's Location
Each Coram Point appliance is assigned to a location. All cameras connected to that appliance inherit its location automatically — you cannot set a camera's location independently.
To change an appliance's location:
From the main navigation menu, go to Devices > Appliances.
Find the appliance in the list.
Open the Location dropdown and select the new location.
The change takes effect immediately. All cameras connected to this appliance now reflect the new location across the app, including in Live View, Alerts, and the Timeline.
Note: If the location you need does not exist yet, go to Settings > Locations to create it first. To learn more, refer to Managing Camera Groups, Locations, and Floor Plans.
Appliance Settings Panel
To open the Appliance Settings panel, click Settings next to any appliance in the list.
The panel displays identifying information, camera and storage metrics, and network tools for the selected appliance.
Appliance information
The top of the Settings panel shows the following fields:
Field | Description |
Interface name | The name of the active network interface on the appliance (for example, |
IP Address | The appliance's current IP address on the local network. |
MAC Address | The appliance's hardware (MAC) address for the active network interface. |
Updated on | The date and time the appliance last reported its status to Coram. |
Active Cameras | The number of cameras currently connected and streaming through this appliance. |
Offline Cameras | The number of cameras assigned to this appliance that are not currently reachable. |

Network tab
The Network tab contains tools for diagnosing network performance and connectivity from the appliance.
Speed test
The speed test measures the appliance's internet bandwidth (download and upload speeds). Coram Point runs speed tests automatically every 12 hours. The most recent result is displayed, including the date and time it was run and the download and upload speeds in Mbps.
To run a new speed test, click Rerun Speed Test. The test takes approximately 30–45 seconds to complete.
For detailed guidance on interpreting speed test results, refer to Testing Network Speed from Coram Point.
Ping test
The ping test checks whether a specific IP address is reachable from the appliance over the local network. This is useful for verifying connectivity to cameras or other devices.
To run a ping test:
In the Ping test section, enter the IP address of the device you want to test.
Click Run Ping Test.
The results show whether the device responded and the round-trip latency. For detailed guidance on running ping tests and interpreting results, refer to Testing Camera Connectivity from Coram Point.
IP address configuration
The IP address configuration section lets you view or change the network settings for each of the appliance's network interfaces. Each Coram Point may have multiple interfaces (for example, enp4s0 and enp0s31f6), and you can configure each one independently.
To configure an IP address:
In the IP address configuration section, open the interface dropdown and choose the network interface you want to configure.
Use the DHCP toggle to choose how the interface obtains its IP address:
DHCP on (default) — The interface receives its IP address automatically from your network's DHCP server. No additional fields are shown.
DHCP off (static) — You assign a fixed IP address manually. When you disable DHCP, the following fields appear:
Field | Description |
Static IP Address | The fixed IP address to assign to this interface. |
Gateway IP Address | The IP address of the network gateway (router) the appliance should use to reach other networks. |
Subnet Mask | The subnet mask for the interface's network. Select from the dropdown (for example, |
DNS Server(s) | The DNS server address(es) the appliance should use for name resolution. |
Click Submit to apply the changes, or Cancel to discard them.
Caution: Changing IP address settings can make the appliance temporarily unreachable. Before switching from DHCP to a static IP, confirm the address, gateway, and subnet mask with your network administrator. If you enter incorrect settings, you may need physical access to the appliance to restore connectivity.
