πŸ’‘ At a Glance

Coram Point is a CVR that processes camera feeds locally while allowing remote access. It also does the following:

  • Auto-detects network interfaces and IP cameras.

  • Allows you to keep cameras off the public internet for security, or place them on the same network for straightforward installation.

  • Stores video locally while enabling remote, live monitoring and control through the Coram web and mobile apps.

Overview

An image of the various Coram Point models that are available.

Coram Point is an AI-powered cloud video recorder (CVR), designed for secure and efficient video management. It automatically powers on when connected to electricity, simplifying setup by eliminating the need for buttons, monitors, or keyboards.

You can manage your cameras and recordings through the cloud-based Coram web app and Coram mobile app, enhancing your existing setup and giving you control without additional hardware requirements.

Understanding Coram Point

Core Functionality

The Coram Point CVR appliance manages video feeds from your IP cameras, processing and storing data locally while allowing remote access and control through the Coram web app. Coram Point's multi-network interface supports flexible configurations for secure and efficient operation.

Network Interfaces

Each Coram Point has at least two network interface cards (NICs), providing two setup options:

  • Isolated Cameras: Keep cameras off the public internet for added security - one NIC is used to connect to cameras, and the other to the internet.

  • Exposed Cameras: Simplify the setup by connecting cameras and the Coram Point CVR to the same internet-accessible network.

Automatic Detection

Coram Point uses software to automatically identify which NIC connects to the internet and which connects to the camera LAN. Coram Point also automatically discovers IP cameras on your network.
