New Features
Coram EMS: Reunification for Better Student Accounting in Emergencies (with Clever Integration)
Reunification is a new feature that's built directly into Coram EMS that gives schools a clear, structured way to account for students during and after an emergency.
Once activated, each student’s status moves through three stages (Pending, Safe Zone, and Reunified) so staff can keep a record of who has been located and who still needs attention. Parents and guardians also receive automatic notifications whenever a student’s status changes, reducing uncertainty during an incident.
Reunification supports Clever integration, allowing schools to sync student and guardian information without manual data entry, and ensuring records remain accurate ahead of an EMS broadcast.
Coram Access Control: Overrides Offer Greater Flexibility for Setting Up Temporary Access Periods
Access Control now supports Overrides, which are temporary access policies that let you lock specific doors and restrict entry to a defined list of approved users, all on a planned schedule.
While active, an Override replaces any existing Permissions or Door Schedules tied to the affected doors. This gives administrators a simple way to secure an area during a sensitive operation, after-hours event, or any other planned exception. Once the Override ends, the doors return to their normal schedules and permissions. To find out more, check out Creating and Managing Overrides.
Coram VMS: Faster, More Precise Reviewing in Timeline with New Keyboard Shortcuts
The Timeline player now supports keyboard shortcuts for faster and more precise review of recorded footage.
You can play, pause, and step through video frame by frame using familiar controls aligned with popular video platforms, making it easier to navigate long or detailed clips without relying on mouse-only interactions. Frame-by-frame navigation also lets you examine footage in ultra-fine detail. Additional shortcuts will also be introduced in future updates to further expand Timeline’s usability.
