Users can archive video clips to the cloud, serving as a backup. These video clips are retained even after being deleted from Coram Point, i.e., they are preserved beyond the retention period. Users can access these archived video clips from the Coram AI cloud dashboard as long as they hold a software license for the Coram platform.
Creating a New Archive
To archive a video clip:
Click on the archive icon displayed on the video player.
Enter the start and end times for the archive (note that the length of the archive is limited to 30 minutes).
Provide a title for the archive and, optionally, a summary description.
The start and end times are prepopulated based on your interaction with the timeline. If you click on the timeline and then on the archive icon, the times will be set to approximately when you clicked on the timeline.
Adding to an Existing Archive, i.e., Making a Case
You can add a clip to an existing archive to create a collection of videos, and create a "case". This is useful for evidence gathering and collaborating with colleagues on the archive. The steps are as follows:
Click on the archive icon on the video control bar.
Click on "Add to Existing Archive."
Select the archive name you wish to add to.
Click on "Add to Archive."
After this, you can navigate to the archive section in the left panel, where you will see the additional videos in the archive.
Leave comments and share archive
Archives are designed to facilitate seamless collaboration with colleagues who have access to the Coram AI dashboard. You can:
Share your archive with other users.
Leave comments on an archive that is shared with you.
Download an archive (if you are an Admin or Regular user).
Delete an archive (only if you are the Owner of the archive).
