Limitations and Troubleshooting

Downloads normally start immediately, but the following actions can increase processing time and delay availability:

  • Downloading large numbers of video clips simultaneously

  • Downloading a very long video clip

  • Downloading a video clip with a timestamp overlay

Note: Adding a timestamp overlay is a resource-intensive process that requires transcoding (decoding and re-encoding) of the original video clip.

If you encounter delays, consider the following:

  • reducing the number of simultaneous downloads

  • break longer clips into shorter segments

  • remove the timestamp overlay

Summary

From timeline reviews and analytics searches, to archived collections and external shares, Coram offers numerous entry points for downloading video clips. By following the steps outlined above, you can easily save the clips you need for analysis, evidence, or offline reference. Just remember to pace your downloads to maintain optimal system responsiveness.
