Coram Assistant is everywhere: Access Coram Assistant from any screen in Video Security to investigate incidents faster without interrupting your workflow. And now, simply ask it to create a person-of-interest alert and it will handle the setup for you.
AUX support for Coram Access Control: Connect sirens and automatic door hardware, and monitor non-controlled doors without requiring a door slot.
Custom check-in questions for Guest Management: Fully configure the check-in experience, and ask guests exactly what you need to know. Design fully custom questions alongside the standard list, with answers delivered to hosts and saved in the visitor log.

Coram Assistant, Everywhere You Work
Assistant Everywhere means you can now access Coram Assistant from any Video Security page. It opens right beside your work, so investigations never mean switching screens.
An Assistant button now sits in the header of every Video Security page: Live View, Timeline, Alerts, Analytics, and more. It opens in a side drawer that docks next to what you're doing. Your conversation, drafts, and recent chats stay with you while you move around the app, so you can ask "who came through the loading dock this morning?" while the wall you're watching stays on screen.
The Assistant also does more with what it finds. When it surfaces a person in your footage, you can now create a person-of-interest profile directly from the conversation: a couple of clicks from "I found them" to "alert me when they return." Results come back numbered so the answer's references match the clips on screen, and Journey results open in a full-width view.
Deep Investigation results now also consistently arrive as a structured report, so you get organized findings you can scan, share, and act on even faster.
AUX Support for Coram Access Control
Connect sirens, strobes, and automatic door hardware to your controllers, and trigger them together.
Coram Access Control now supports auxiliary inputs and outputs on your door controllers. Connect automatic door operators, sirens, strobes, and other hardware, and drive them from Coram: deploy ADA automatic door operators, tie devices to door events, and include them in lockdowns, so activating a lockdown can sound sirens and secure automatic doors in the same action.
AUX support is rolling out to every organization in early September.
Ask Guests Your Own Check-in Questions
Collect exactly what you need to know from guests, delivered to hosts and the visitor log.
Every site has questions the standard check-in can't ask – "What is the purpose of your visit?" being the one we hear most. Organizations can now add up to three custom questions to guest check-in, with free-text or multiple-choice answers, with each question optional or required and in the order you choose. Set them up once under Guests → Configure → Check-in Form.
Hosts see the answers in the arrival email, so they know what to expect before reaching the lobby. Every guest's answers also stay with their visit in the visitor log, including whether a question was answered or skipped, so your records are complete.
Coram, Quicker Everywhere
Performance gains land platform-wide this month:
The web app's initial download is about 75% smaller, so the home page lands faster, even on spotty connections.
Door lists load in under half a second, even for the largest organizations, so the unlock button is there when you reach for it, both on web and mobile.
License-plate search returns in a couple of seconds, even on fleets with millions of detections.
Kiosk video walls run smoothly and reliably around the clock, including 36-camera walls on lower-performance hardware.
The mobile app starts noticeably sooner, with video components loading on demand.
Scrub the Timeline and See Exactly Where You Are
Footage follows your cursor as you drag, so you can preview the moment before you let go.
Drag the Timeline playhead and the video now scrubs with you; a thumbnail preview shows the exact moment, and Coram immediately fetches the footage for that spot. The playhead has a new bigger handle so it's easier to grab, previews preserve your on-screen zoom, the picture holds steady while you drag, and playback resumes the instant you release. So finding the right moment is now one smooth gesture.
Sharper Firearm Detection
Higher precision and faster confirmation, so teams act on real events with confidence.
Firearm verification has been rebuilt around a stronger model. Detection is now more precise on both sides, catching more real firearms while raising fewer false alarms, and confirming detections about 30% faster. Every firearm alert arrives with its full 15-second clip just seconds after detection, ready to review, share, or dispatch on. Confirming a firearm alert now also takes you straight to the emergency Respond page, so the next step is always one click away.
More New Capabilities & Improvements
Guest Management
Run the front desk from anywhere: the Devices page now shows each check-in device's badge-printer status (Ready, Out of paper, a named fault, No printer, or Offline) with a Last Seen time per device. Admins get a notification when a printer needs attention, and it re-arms once the printer recovers.
Badge printing you can trust: Print Badge reports exactly what happened, and repeated clicks produce exactly one badge.
ID scanning reads names the way licenses print them: middle names, hyphens, accents, and minor scan noise all match cleanly, so genuine guests check in first try while different names still require approval.
Export the visitor log to CSV: the export honors your current filters, includes a column for each custom check-in question, and every export is recorded in Access Logs.
Stronger blacklist screening: entries now carry an email, phone number, or document number so every match is genuine, and blacklist management (including the written reason a guest is barred) is now visible to admins only.
Clearer face checks: the guest panel now explains why a visit is held (no face detected vs. a temporary outage), and offline check-ins get the same photo checks as live ones.
A privacy-safe audit trail: every admin action (approve, deny, check out, badge prints, invites, blacklist and settings changes) is now recorded in Access Logs.
Video, Walls & Cameras
Know the moment a Coram Point goes offline: admins can now receive a push notification when an appliance drops offline, with Email and mobile push configurable independently in notification settings.
Downloads, delivered your way: clicking Download saves the clip straight to your computer, you can name a download and send it to Video Vault from every download point, and the multi-clip download dialog has a cleaner design.
Journey Path now maps vehicles too: follow a car, truck, or bus across cameras straight from a search result.
Walls make the most of your screen: tiles grow back to fill the space when a sidebar closes or the window widens, and on small fisheye tiles the view controls tuck into a compact menu.
Alerts & Analytics
Filter alerts by several types at once: the Alert Type filter on the Alert Feed and Manage Alerts is now a multi-select.
Smarter search results: complex, multi-part AI Analytics searches now rank the most relevant moments first, and a status line explains progress while a deeper search runs.
Absence alerts fit longer real-world absences: they can now wait up to 30 minutes of inactivity before firing (previously 10).
Announcements without the echo: speaker announcements for firearm, PPE, and slip-and-fall alerts play once per alert.
Access Control
DC-11 controllers show how they're powered: PoE class and wattage, what the controller powers in turn, and a warning when a connected device needs more power than is available.
Site users see more controller events: fire alarm, battery status, and tamper events for controllers at their sites.
Calendar View is now available to every organization.
Emergency Management (EMS)
Drills now exercise the full dispatch path: Notify First Responders during a drill reaches the monitoring partner, clearly flagged as a drill.
The Respond chat shows who can send: admins who aren't on an emergency type's Message Sender list see a read-only notice with a link to the setting, instead of a chat box that doesn't deliver.
Mobile
The app opens ready to act: launch work runs in parallel, Live and Doors appear sooner, and door unlock buttons are tappable the moment the list loads.
Assistant answers show their evidence: live streams and clips appear as camera tiles with a scrollable gallery.
Pull down to refresh the Devices lists for updated cameras and thumbnails on demand.
Android runs the newer video player engine for Live, clips, and the timeline.
Developer API
Download an alert's video clip and thumbnail: get a ready-to-save MP4 in a single call, and fetch the alert detection frame in small, medium, or full size.
Outbound webhooks are now fully documented: all 9 event types, payload shapes, signature verification, and delivery behavior.
Manage cameras via the API: update a camera's IP address, and firearm alert settings created via the API now monitor the camera's full view, matching alerts created in the app.

Platform
One-click SSO sign-in: organizations that require SSO see their organization offered by name on the login screen (or a picker if you belong to several), and login pages now carry the branded Coram design with plain-language messages.
A refreshed Settings experience: the redesign now covers navigation, Locations, Data Import, Webhooks & API Keys, Speed Test, Security, Controls, User Provisioning, Organizations, Licenses, Notifications, and Access Logs — with table headers that stay in view while you scroll.
Fixes and Reliability
Video & Playback
PTZ controls always stop when released, with an automatic stop after 10 seconds as a safeguard, and PTZ video now loads in Firefox on local-network streaming.
Shared clip links and live players recover automatically instead of staying on a loading spinner, and clip loading rides out brief connectivity blips.
Personal walls re-sync within seconds after heavy scrubbing, live catch-up ends as soon as the stream is back in sync, and the timeline's range selector stays attached while dragging.
Collecting appliance diagnostics no longer affects recording.
Alerts & Analytics
Alert thumbnails fill in within seconds, and missing images show a clear placeholder.
Face photos uploaded while an appliance was offline now activate automatically once it reconnects.
Access Control
Controller status stays accurate even when one device misbehaves, and the events feed filters door open/closed noise.
Historical events and tailgating alerts keep their clips after a controller is replaced.
Alert pickers now gray out doors outside your admin scope instead of failing on save, and member lists on shared schedules and access levels are no longer shown to regular users.
Calendar polish: event names stay readable on short and overlapping blocks, and weeks start on Sunday consistently.
Emergency Management (EMS)
A panic button that is pressed again soon after an emergency is resolved now reliably raises a new emergency.
Resolving an emergency updates the mobile Respond feed immediately, and the Resolve button explains itself for users without the permission.
Re-imported reunification rosters apply role changes exactly, and removals fully revoke broadcast membership.
Guest Management
Check-in device online status stays accurate through network blips and relaunches, and check-in photos are no longer wrongly rejected when the iPad sits below eye level.
Notification clicks open the Guest Log in a single tab, and legal-document controls follow the NDA visibility setting.
Coram Assistant
Conversations recover cleanly from stalls and network blips: a clear retry prompt replaces any stuck "Thinking…" state, and sessions reconnect automatically.
You can keep typing follow-up questions while a creation form the Assistant opened is still on screen.
Shared chats open read-only without an error flash, deleted chats stay deleted, and a failed history load offers Retry.
Mobile
Notification-settings links open the right page on both platforms, emergency banners open the named emergency even during a drill, and a failed emergency activation resets for retry.
Firearm feedback can't be double-submitted, and logging out fully clears the previous account.
Platform
Users limited to specific sites now see exactly their sites' data everywhere: alert settings, camera groups, and appliance details.
Sensitive details are visible only to the admins who manage them: access card numbers and door PINs to Access Control admins, and camera credentials and network settings to users who can edit devices.
Settings tabs always respond, single-location organizations auto-select their location, and live feeds reconnect cleanly after a backgrounded tab.
