July delivers some of the most requested upgrades of the year: expanded controls in User Management, a clearer way to manage access schedules, and more control over Coram Assistant:
Expanded controls in User Management: create a single identity for every employee with fully customizable permissions, giving them access only to the sites, products, and tools they need. Rolling out to organizations over the coming weeks, for greater control platform-wide.
Access Control Calendar View: manage unlock schedules, permissions, and temporary overrides from a single calendar, making it easy to understand what restrictions are active, spot conflicts, and update access in seconds.
More control over Coram Assistant: stop Assistant responses anytime and view every event in its local timezone, so investigations stay fast, accurate, and under your control.
Monitor guest check-in journeys with face matching: the same journey path tools you know and trust, now seamlessly integrated into Coram Guest Management.

Expanded User Management Controls
One profile with customizable permissions across every site and product, so every Coram user gets the right access.
Instead of a single one-size-fits-all role, each user now gets a separate configuration for different Coram products: Video Security, Access Control, Emergency Management, and Guest Management. You can restrict each role to specific locations and camera groups, so one person can have full control of cameras at one site and read-only access to doors at another, all from a single profile. There's nothing to set up on day 1: every existing user and their settings port over automatically, like for like. This just makes granular changes far easier, whenever you're ready.
Each product offers only the roles that make sense for it. Video Security has the full set: Organization Admin, Site Admin, Regular, Limited, and Live Only. Access Control and Emergency Management offer the same roles except Live Only, and Guest Management offers Site Admin and Regular. Everything lives in one place: Settings → Users.
The transition is being rolled out gradually, so you'll hear more when you're due to get the upgrade. What's more, it's automatic, and like-for-like settings are applied by default. Calendar View for Access Control
See and manage access permissions, schedules, and overrides across every site from a calendar, so you know exactly what's going on site-wide.
Coram Access Control gains a full calendar view for schedules this month. Unlock schedules, permissions, and overrides now appear on a day or week grid, with a mini-month for quick navigation, filters that stay linked to your view, and an all-day list for open-ended rules.
Click any event to see its details, or click an empty slot to create a schedule right from the calendar. The calendar shows a now-line in each location's local timezone, keeps your location selection for the session, and summarizes recurrence in plain language, so it's finally easy to answer "what's active at this site right now?" at a glance.
The calendar view is rolling out to organizations over the coming weeks.
More Control over Coram Assistant
Stop Assistant responses anytime and view every event in its local timezone, so investigations stay fast, accurate, and under your control.
Coram Assistant now has a Stop button. If your prompt is misinterpreted, or if you already have what you need, stop a response mid-stream: the Assistant halts its answer (and any Deep Investigation work behind it) and the conversation shows a clear stopped state, ready for your next question.
Timestamps across the Assistant are also now timezone-aware: detection results and access events show times in the camera's local timezone, labeled with timezone names instead of raw GMT offsets.
Guest Check-in Face Matching
Turn a guest's check-in photo into a full journey across your cameras – without leaving Guest Management – for a clearer picture of visitor actions.
If you run Coram Guest Management alongside Coram Video Security, the two now work together. Turn on the Photo Capture setting so guests are prompted to take a photo at the kiosk when they arrive. From there, open the guest list, select a guest, and click the search button next to their photo.
Coram finds the detection closest to their check-in time and builds a check-in journey from it, tracing that person across your cameras for the ten minutes either side of their arrival. It uses the same detection and journey technology behind AI Analytics Profiles, driven by the check-in photo, so answering who a visitor was and where they went now only takes a single click.
More New Capabilities & Improvements
Emergency Management (EMS)
Org-wide desktop notification control: A new setting in EMS Settings lets admins turn desktop notifications on or off for the whole organization, regardless of individual recipient settings.
Persistent low-battery reminders: Panic-button low-battery alerts now repeat daily until the battery is replaced, and gateway offline alerts allow a short grace window before firing, so you hear about real problems, not blips.
Automatic Dispatch shares more context: Police dispatch now automatically receives the caller's contact information and critical incident details, as long as the caller has a valid US phone number associated with their Coram user profile.
Video, Walls & Cameras
Dewarp on shared links: Public and shared links for fisheye cameras now include the full dewarped view controls.
Download more cameras at once: The 10-camera-per-request limit on cloud downloads has been removed.
Walls polish: Tiles now pack together without letterboxed borders, tile controls auto-hide after a few seconds of inactivity, and the player bar stays anchored to the bottom of your screen.
Alerts & Analytics
Retention-aware results: AI Analytics no longer shows detections that fall outside your video retention window.
Mobile
8× playback: The mobile timeline now plays back at up to 8× speed on iOS, with Android following next week.
Sharper detection thumbnails: People and Vehicle detection thumbnails now crop to the detected object.
Access schedules catch up to web: Access permissions on mobile now support monthly recurrence and multiple timeframes per permission.
Smoother navigation: The navigation bar tucks away as you scroll, and bottom sheets can be dragged to dismiss.
Platform & Integrations
Network scanning off switch: A new Disallowed network-scanning mode ensures Coram never scans your network for new cameras — for organizations with strict network policies.
Clearer license naming: License types in Settings → Licenses now count Camera Streams instead of "Cameras" (for example, "Video Feed Camera Streams"), to better reflect what they meter.
Developer API updates: The alert-details endpoint now returns the same payload as the alert-details webhook, and the webhook's ai_description field is renamed ai. See developer.coram.ai for details.
Fixes and Reliability
Alerts
Live alert feeds now detect dropped connections with a heartbeat and refresh automatically on reconnect, so the feed never silently goes stale.
Alert text messages are no longer retried to recipients who have unsubscribed.
Video & Playback
Fixed live playback freezing at segment ends, stuck paused states, and stalls at damaged buffer edges; the player now recovers cleanly from fatal browser media errors.
Seeking into a new interval now starts at the right moment, and journey clip captions show camera-local time.
Switching cameras from the Timeline now correctly retargets PTZ controls to the newly selected camera.
Region-of-interest thumbnails show a clear error state instead of loading forever.
Access Control
Spurious "unknown" REX events no longer appear in the events feed or CSV exports.
Doors now update their location when their controller moves, and the Manage Alerts filter honors every alert category.
Open-ended schedules now read "No end date" instead of "Never."
Emergency Management (EMS)
The emergency banner and feed now recover on their own if live updates stop arriving.
Restored the manual Call 911 button in the mobile emergency chat.
Guest Management
Guest log counts and guest details now update live as guests check in and change status.
The default welcome message now appears as a placeholder rather than prefilled text, kiosks fall back to the Coram Guest logo when no organization logo is set, and check-in buttons stay readable on light brand colors.
Coram Assistant
Conversations now reconnect and pick up cleanly after network drops, refreshes, and tab switches; drafts no longer leak between chats, and stale "Thinking…" states are cleared.
Deleting a chat now asks for confirmation.
Mobile
Fixed an iOS launch crash, unresponsive touch areas on Android, and the emergency chat input hiding behind the keyboard.
Platform
Your selected organization no longer snaps back after switching, the sidebar no longer flickers between widths on hover, and date pickers keep a steady height as you browse months.
Floor plans used in shared collections can now be deleted.
