💡 At a Glance
Coram EMS allows you to configure up to five emergency types, each with its own icon, color, name, available contexts, broadcast rules, messaging permissions, and resolution settings. These configurations determine how emergencies are triggered, who is notified, and how teams can respond.
For detailed information, keep reading below.
Overview
Emergency configuration is handled in the Configure tab of Coram EMS. This setup defines:
What types of emergencies users can broadcast.
Who can trigger each emergency type.
Which recipients are notified, via which channels.
What contexts can be selected when an emergency is reported.
Who can respond in the chat, see the Call 911 button, and resolve the emergency.
As you configure each emergency, a live preview on the right-hand side shows how the Respond tab will appear in the Coram mobile app.
Note: Only Emergencies admin users can access the Configure tab.
