Key Features
Introducing a Cleaner, More Unified Interface
We’ve redesigned parts of the UI, including the navigation menu and header bars, to reduce visual clutter and create a more consistent experience, so everything should now feel cleaner and more predictable.
Coram’s Supercharged Streaming Protocol, Platform-Wide
We’ve fully transitioned away from WebRTC for general streaming, so all live feeds and local streams now run on Coram’s enhanced custom protocol, which means greater reliability and smoother playback, even in low-bandwidth environments.
Even Better Image Processing and Object Detection
Coram's commitment to being at the bleeding edge of AI security means we're constantly working to improve the performance of our systems. This month, we've made key precision improvements to face, vehicle, and object detection, reducing false positives and improving accuracy.
Slip-and-fall detection accuracy has also been enhanced through updated image processing models, and line-crossing detection is more consistent under different lighting and motion conditions.
Create Alerts with More Control
The alert selection drawer is now more informative and easier to follow. Clearer, contextual alert descriptions help you understand what your cameras are monitoring for, so you can configure detections with confidence.
More New Features
Relative Time Ranges for Filtering Data
We've added common relative date ranges across key areas like the Alerts feed, access logs, archives, and reports, removing the need to manually adjust filters.
Camera Selection for Person of Interest Alerts
You can now select specific cameras when setting up person of interest alerts, giving you more control over detections in areas that don’t require monitoring.
HALO Alerts In the Mobile App
HALO-based environmental alerts (for air quality, smoke, etc.) can now be created and managed directly in the Coram mobile app, for full access on the go.
New Licences tab in Settings
You can now easily track camera slots, premium alert slots, and other license usage for your organization, to help keep you aware of licence limits.
Edit Camera Locations in the Devices Table
You no longer need to open each camera to reassign its location, this can now be done quickly from the main camera table, saving time when reorganizing large deployments.
Local Streaming Support
Users on the same local network as a Coram Point can now stream directly over LAN automatically, using our custom protocol. This results in faster playback and reduced video latency, and avoids consuming internet bandwidth; ideal for high-performance on-premise setups.
Enhancements
Insights & Reporting
Reports now support defining detection hours (e.g. 06:00–18:00), helping you avoid clutter from irrelevant overnight or off-hours periods.
Performance optimizations reduce load times when running reports that cover multiple days or weeks.
Video & Streaming
Further stability improvements enhance both live and local video playback, especially in fluctuating network conditions.
The 4-cut dewarped view for fisheye cameras has been improved to produce more accurate layouts.
Cameras & Device Management
Disabled cameras now allow access to their native interface, making it easier to troubleshoot or prep devices for reactivation.
The Delete Location button is now automatically disabled when cameras are still assigned to that location, preventing accidental misconfiguration.
Alerts & Feed
Loitering alerts are now capped at a 15-minute maximum duration, helping to avoid overly long or misconfigured alert windows.
Push notifications for Critical Alerts have been updated for better readability, especially on mobile screens.
General UI & System Stability
Error pages on both desktop and mobile have been improved with clearer messaging and diagnostic hints to help users understand why an issue occurred.
Improvements & Fixes
PTZ streaming now reliably uses WebRTC to maintain responsiveness while PTZ controls are active.
Timezone corrections ensure that Archive clip timestamps and download logs reflect the correct local time.
Datepicker limits now properly prevent users from selecting months outside the site’s retention range, avoiding confusion.
Clip requests from disabled cameras are now more reliable, fixing a blocking issue in some archive workflows.
