Overview
The Timezone page in the Settings menu allows you to view and adjust the timezone settings for each of your locations. These settings ensure that your cameras and alerts operate in alignment with the correct local time for their respective Locations.
You can choose to enable automatic time management, which uses the location of the Coram Point appliance, or you can manually select a timezone.
Each Location is displayed in a table with the following columns:
Location: The name of the location that you created and assigned in the Devices > Locations page.
Timezone: A dropdown menu that lists countries and cities for timezone selection.
Note: If automatic time management is enabled, the Timezone dropdown menu is greyed out.
Automatic Time Management: A toggle switch to enable or disable automatic timezone configuration.
Viewing and Managing Timezone Settings
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
In the top-right corner of the page, click the dropdown arrow ( ▼ ), then select Settings.
In the Settings sub-menu, click Timezone.
The Timezone page appears.
From the list, find the location you want to configure.
Do one of the following:
To automatically assign the timezone based on the location of the Coram Point appliance registered to this location, enable Automatic Time Management.
To manually set the timezone:
Ensure the Automatic Time Management toggle is Off.
From the Timezone dropdown menu, select the appropriate timezone from the list. The selected timezone is saved automatically.
Notes:
Automatic Time Management ensures the timezone remains consistent with the location of the registered Coram Point appliance. This option is recommended for most setups to avoid manual configuration errors.
Disabling Automatic Time Management allows you to manually select a timezone, which can be useful if the Coram Point appliance is relocated without reassigning the Location.
Changes to timezone settings may affect scheduled alerts and timestamps on recordings.
