Kiosks continuously display live camera feeds on any web-enabled screen without requiring user interaction. ⚡ Key Tasks

  • Create a Kiosk
First, set up one or more Personal Walls. Then, in the Coram web app navigate to Kiosk > + Create Kiosk Wall. Name your wall, select one or more Personal Walls, set rotation duration if needed, and click Create.

  • Manage and Share Walls
From the Kiosk list, view walls by clicking their URL, edit settings via the three-dots menu ( ), share links by copying the URL or sending an email invite, and generate an HTML embed code by clicking the embed icon.

  • Refresh, Disable, or Delete Walls
Refresh a wall's URL by clicking the refresh icon (which invalidates the old URL), disable a wall by toggling off its switch to stop display, or permanently delete a wall using the three-dots menu and selecting Delete.

Overview

Coram's Kiosk feature allows you to continuously display your live camera feeds on any web-enabled screen, without requiring viewers to access Coram. This feature is perfect for central monitoring stations, reception areas, or any location where continuous surveillance display is needed. Kiosks are based on Personal Walls, so you can customize the layout and selection of cameras to suit your specific monitoring needs.

Creating a Kiosk

Before you can create a Kiosk, you must have at least one Personal Wall created for your user account. Personal Walls allow you to organize and customize the arrangement of multiple camera feeds, which you can then convert to a Kiosk. To learn more, refer to Personal Walls.

Tip: If you want to create a 'rotating' Kiosk that automatically alternates between multiple Personal Walls, create more than one Personal Wall before you create a Kiosk.

After you have created one or more Personal Walls, do the following:

  1. Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.

  2. From the main navigation menu, click Kiosk.

  3. In the top-right corner of the page, click + Create Kiosk Wall.

A screenshot that shows the location of the + Create Kiosk Wall button.

The Create Kiosk Wall window appears.

  4. Type a name for the wall.

  5. Do one of the following:

    • To create a rotating Kiosk, select multiple Personal Walls then set the duration that each wall remains on display before switching to the next.

    • To create a static Kiosk, select a single Personal Wall. The selected wall displays continuously without rotation.

  6. Click Create.

The Kiosk appears in the list of Active Kiosks and is automatically set to Enabled.

Managing a Kiosk

There are various options available for managing and sharing existing Kiosk.

Note: The following applies for viewing or editing Kiosks:

  • Any user in your organization can view a Kiosk, and share or refresh the URL.

  • Only the user who created the Kiosk can change which Personal Walls it references, and can only include Personal Walls they created.

  • A Personal Wall can only be edited by the user who created it. So, if you need to add or remove cameras in a Kiosk, you must first update the Personal Wall itself.

  • Admin users can rename or delete any Kiosk created within their organization.

  • Non-admin users can only rename or delete Kiosks they created.

Find the Kiosk you want to update in the list, then do any of the following:

  • View the Wall: To view the wall in a new web browser window, click the URL.

A screenshot that shows the location of the Kiosk URL.

  • Edit the Wall: To change settings, such as the name, which Personal Walls to include, or duration between wall rotations, click the three-dots menu (). Change any settings as required, then click Save.

Tip: To adjust which cameras are shown in a Kiosk, start by updating the relevant Personal Walls. The Kiosk will then reflect the changes automatically.

  • Share the Wall: To provide public, web-based access to the wall, click the copy icon (), then paste the URL where required. Alternatively, to send the link directly by email, click the three-dots menu (), then click Share. Type a valid email address, then click Share.

  • Generate an Embed Code for the Wall: To build a Kiosk into an external website using an HTML iframe embed code, click the embed icon (). This generates the embed code and copies it to your clipboard.

  • Refresh the Wall URL: To generate a new URL for the wall, click the refresh icon ().

Important: Refreshing a Kiosk URL invalidates the existing URL and causes it to stop working. Previous URLs cannot be recovered.

  • Disable the Wall: To deactivate the wall and prevent it from being displayed, find the wall in the list and set the corresponding toggle switch to disabled.

  • Delete the Wall: To delete the wall from your account, click the three-dots menu (), then click Delete.

Important: Deleting a Kiosk is a permanent action and cannot be undone.
