Kiosk Walls

Learn about the useful functions of Kiosk Walls, including how to create, manage, and share them.

Updated this week

Overview

Coram's Kiosk Wall feature allows you to continuously display your live camera feeds on any web-enabled screen, without requiring viewers to access Coram. This feature is perfect for central monitoring stations, reception areas, or any location where continuous surveillance display is needed. Kiosks are based on Personal Walls, so you can customize the layout and selection of cameras to suit your specific monitoring needs.

Creating a Kiosk Wall

Before you can create a Kiosk Wall, you must have at least one Personal Wall created for your user account. Personal Walls allow you to organize and customize the arrangement of multiple camera feeds, which you can then convert to a Kiosk Wall. To learn more, refer to Personal Walls.

Tip: If you want to create a 'rotating' Kiosk Wall that automatically alternates between multiple Personal Walls, create more than one Personal Wall before you create a Kiosk Wall.

After you have created one or more Personal Walls, do the following:

  1. Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.

  2. From the main navigation menu, click Kiosk.

  3. In the top-right corner of the page, click + Create Kiosk Wall.

The Create Kiosk Wall window appears.

  4. Type a name for the wall.

  5. Do one of the following:

    • To create a rotating Kiosk Wall, select multiple Personal Walls then set the duration that each wall remains on display before switching to the next.

    • To create a static Kiosk Wall, select a single Personal Wall. The selected wall displays continuously without rotation.

  6. Click Create.

The Kiosk Wall appears in the list of Active Kiosks and is automatically set to Enabled.

Managing a Kiosk Wall

There are various options available for managing and sharing existing Kiosk Walls. Find the wall in the list, then do any of the following:

  • View the Wall: To view the wall in a new web browser window, click the URL.

A screenshot that shows the location of the Kiosk Wall URL.

  • Edit the Wall: To change settings, such as the name, which Personal Walls to include, or duration between wall rotations, click the three-dots menu (). Change any settings as required, then click Save.

  • Share the Wall: To provide public, web-based access to the wall, click the copy icon (), then paste the URL where required. Alternatively, to send the link directly by email, click the three-dots menu (), then click Share. Type a valid email address, then click Share.

  • Generate an Embed Code for the Wall: To build a Kiosk Wall into an external website using an HTML iframe embed code, click the embed icon (). This generates the embed code and copies it to your clipboard.

  • Refresh the Wall URL: To generate a new URL for the wall, click the refresh icon ().

Important: Refreshing a Kiosk Wall URL invalidates the existing URL and causes it to stop working. Previous URLs cannot be recovered.

  • Disable the Wall: To deactivate the wall and prevent it from being displayed, find the wall in the list and set the corresponding toggle switch to disabled.

  • Delete the Wall: To delete the wall from your account, click the three-dots menu (), then click Delete.

Important: Deleting a Kiosk Wall is a permanent action and cannot be undone.
