Before you begin, ensure that you have created a notification group that contains the users you want to notify. To learn more, refer to Creating a Notification Group.
To create a new Trespassing alert:
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
From the main navigation menu, select Alerts.
At the top of the page, click the Manage Alerts tab.
In the top-right corner of the page, click + New Alert > Trespassing.
The Create Trespassing Alert page appears.
Type a name for the alert.
Click Add Cameras.
The Add Cameras page appears.
Select the cameras you want to monitor for the alert, then click Save.
For each camera that you selected, define the no-entry area. You can set the entire image as the no-entry area (
, selected by default), or draw a rectangle (
) or a polygon (
) no-entry area.From the Detection Object dropdown menu, select either Person or Vehicle.
Configure the Alert Sensitivity. To learn more, refer to Alert Sensitivity.
From the Days dropdown menu, set the weekly alert schedule:
Daily: The Alert is active every day of the week.
Weekday: The alert is active only every Monday to Friday (inclusive).
Weekend: The alert is active only on Saturdays and Sundays.
Custom: The alert is active on the days you select from the day picker.
To set the daily start and end times for the alert, provide the Start Time and End Time in the 12-hour format (for example, "3:15 PM").
From the Notification Groups dropdown menu, select the notification groups you want to include for the alert. To confirm your selection, click anywhere outside the dropdown menu.
To save the alert, click Create Alert.
Alert Sensitivity
For Trespassing alerts, it can be the case that people or vehicles are not detected if the area of interest is very small, or if the they move quickly through the area of interest.
If you find that a Trespassing alert is not triggering when it should, you can increase the sensitivity of the alert.
It can also be the case that vehicles or people near to or partially within the area of interest are accidentally detected. If you find that a Trespassing alert is triggering when it should not, you can decrease the sensitivity of the alert.
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
From the main navigation menu, select Alerts.
At the top of the page, click the Manage Alerts tab.
Click the alert you want to configure.
The Edit Alert page appears.
For Alert Sensitivity, choose the option that suits your needs:
Low: For situations where accidental detections are likely.
Med: Selected by default, suitable for most applications.
High: For situations where missed detections are likely.
