A floorplan link lets people outside Coram see your floorplans and the live video from the cameras on them. They open the link in a browser, with no Coram account and no sign-in. You choose which floorplans the link includes and when it stops working, and you can send it by email or text message or copy it and send it yourself.
This article is for Coram VMS Admins. It covers creating links, turning them off and on, replacing and deleting them, and what people see when they open one.

Overview
A link is a web address that opens one or more of your floorplans. The people who open it see the plans and the cameras placed on them, and can watch each camera's live video. They cannot change anything.
A link can include floorplans from different locations. Every link in your organization appears on the Shared Floorplans page, whoever created it.
Warning: Anyone who has the address can open the link, not only the people you send it to. Share it only with people who need it, set an expiry date when you can, and turn the link off or delete it when it is no longer needed.
Opening the Shared Floorplans Page
Before you begin, ensure the following:
You are an Admin in Coram VMS. The Shared entry does not appear for Regular or Limited users.
To open the Shared Floorplans page:
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
Click the product name at the top of the main navigation menu, then select Floorplans.
In the main navigation menu, click Shared.
The Shared Floorplans page lists each link with its name, the floorplans it includes, and a status switch. Use the tabs above the list to filter it:

Expired | Links whose expiry date has passed, whether they are on or off. |
Creating a Link
Create a link for each group of people who need access, so you can turn it off or replace it without affecting anyone else.
Before you begin, ensure the following:
You are an Admin in Coram VMS.
The floorplans you want to share already exist. To learn more, refer to Managing Floorplans.
To create a link:
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
Click the product name at the top of the main navigation menu, then select Floorplans.
Start the link in one of two ways:
To share the floorplan you are looking at, click Share in the toolbar at the bottom of the plan. The link starts with that floorplan selected and named after it.
To start from scratch, click Shared in the main navigation menu, then click Create Link.
The New Link window appears.
In Link Name, enter a name that tells you who the link is for, for example "Fire department, north campus".
From Choose Floorplans, select the floorplans the link should include.
Set when the link stops working. It is set to one month from now. To change it, click the date under Set Expiry Date, choose a day, type a time in 24-hour format, and click Select. To keep the link working until you turn it off, select Never expires.
Optional: in Share With, add the people to send the link to. Type a name to find someone in your organization, or type an email address or phone number for someone outside it.
Click Share.

The link is created and switched on, and Coram sends it to the people you added by email or text message. A message confirms that the link was shared.
Notes:
When you choose someone from your organization, Coram sends the link to their email address and, if their profile has a phone number, to their phone as well.
You can add phone numbers from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. A number without a country code is treated as a US number.
To send the link yourself instead, click Copy Link. This creates the link straight away and copies its address, without sending it to anyone.
Managing Your Links
You manage each link from its row on the Shared Floorplans page.
Turning a Link Off or On
Use the switch in the Status column. When you turn a link off, the address stops working for anyone who opens it, and everything about the link is kept. Turn the switch back on to make the same address work again. Coram does not notify anyone either way.
An expired link's switch is grayed out. To use the link again, edit it and set a new expiry date, or select Never expires. The link keeps the same address. If its switch is off afterwards, turn it on.
Copying a Link
Click the copy icon in the link's row to copy its address. The button copies the address even if the link is off or has expired, so check its status before you send it.
Editing a Link
Click the ... menu at the end of the link's row, then click Edit.
The Edit Link window appears.
Change the name, the floorplans, or the expiry date, or add people under Share With.
Click Update.
Coram sends the link only to the new people you add. The people it was sent to before are listed under Already shared with, and you cannot remove them. The list does not control who can open the link: anyone who has the address can. To stop people using a link, regenerate it or turn it off.
To stop sharing one floorplan but keep the others, clear it in Choose Floorplans.
Regenerating a Link
If a link has reached someone it should not have, give it a new address:
Click the regenerate icon in the link's row.
Click Regenerate link to confirm.
The old address stops working as soon as the new one is created. Coram does not send the new address to anyone. To send it, edit the link and add the people again under Share With, or copy the new address and send it yourself.
Deleting a Link
If you are an Organization Admin and also an Admin in Coram VMS, you can delete a link:
Click the ... menu at the end of the link's row, then click Delete.
Click Delete link to confirm.
Anyone using the link loses access, and this cannot be undone. The floorplans themselves are not affected. For other Admins, Delete does not appear in the menu.
What People See When They Open a Link
The link opens a page in the web browser, with the Coram logo at the top. The page does not show the link's name or your organization's name.
Floors: The first floor opens automatically. To change floors, click the floor name below the plan, then click the picture of a floor. Floors from different locations appear together, without location names.
Cameras: Each camera appears as an icon on the plan. Resting the pointer on an icon shows the camera's name and its live video. On a phone or tablet, tap the icon instead.
Zoom and pan: Use the + and − buttons or the zoom percentage in the bottom-right corner. With a mouse or trackpad, you can also drag or scroll to move around the plan.
Clicking a camera does not open any other page, and the page does not show a scale bar.
When a link stops working, the page shows one of these messages:
The link was turned off, expired, regenerated, or deleted: The page says This link is no longer available and asks them to get a new link from the person who shared it.
Every floorplan in the link was deleted or removed from it: The page says No floorplans to show.
The floor on screen was removed from the link: The page says This floor is no longer part of this link and asks them to pick another floor.
Who Can Do What
Admin in Coram VMS: Can open the Shared Floorplans page, and create, edit, copy, turn off or on, and regenerate any link.
Organization Admin who is also an Admin in Coram VMS: Can also delete links.
Sharing is not limited to the locations your role covers. An Admin can share any floorplan they can view, and can manage every link in the organization. To learn more about roles, refer to Understanding User Roles and Permissions in Coram.
