💡 At a Glance
Coram Point stores all recorded footage locally for your agreed retention period (30, 60, or 90 days). Older footage is automatically overwritten, unless backed up through an optional premium cloud service. Separately, important footage can be archived and saved to cloud storage to protect against being overwritten.

Local Storage on Coram Point
By default, all footage recorded by your cameras is stored locally on your Coram Point appliance for the retention period agreed in your contract: either 30, 60, or 90 days. During this period, all footage is fully accessible and available for AI processing and analytics, as well as downloading, sharing, and archiving.
Note: After the agreed retention period, older data is automatically overwritten by newer recordings, and is permanently deleted.
Cloud-Based Archives
As standard, Coram provides a 10-year unlimited-capacity cloud storage feature for any video clips you choose to archive, allowing you to protect crucial recordings from local overwriting. This means that, as long as you are in-contract, you can store as many archived clips as you need to, at no additional cost.
Tip: To learn more about archiving, refer to Archiving VIdeos.
Premium Cloud Backup
For organizations that require more comprehensive data retention, Coram offers an optional cloud backup service that automatically saves a copy of all recorded footage to the cloud. You can choose anywhere between 30 to 365 days of cloud retention for your backups, to align the service with your specific requirements. To discuss adding this service to your contract, contact your Coram sales representative.
Important: Footage that is backed up on the cloud as part of this service is not directly viewable within your Coram organization, and does not integrate with AI-based features such as Discover search or AI Analytics. To access this offsite data, you must contact Coram support, who can retrieve clips from your backups on request.
