Create an Alert
From the main navigation menu, click Alerts > Create Alert.
Select an Alert Type
Choose from Person of Interest, License Plate of Interest, Trespassing, Firearm Detection, Idling, or Absence.
Customize Detection Parameters
Where applicable, set timeframes, detection zones, and other criteria.
Notify the Right People
Configure alert notifications (SMS or email ) and who receives them.
Review Alerts Feed
Sort, filter, and watch event clips in the Alerts Feed.

Overview
Alerts help you and your staff stay informed about specific activity captured by your cameras using Coram's powerful recognition model.
By alerting people in real time, you can help them act quickly to prevent or manage incidents before they escalate.
You can create highly customizable alerts to detect different types of activity on your camera feeds, and automatically send detailed notifications to groups of recipients. This ensures alerts are accurate and relevant, and notifications are useful and targeted. Notifications also include a link to the relevant video, allowing recipients to access and review the footage quickly.
To find the Alerts page, access the Coram web app and sign in to your account. Then, from the main navigation menu, click Alerts.

Alert Types
You can use the Alerts feature to create the following alerts:
Person of Interest Alert
Detect the presence of specific individuals identified through Coram’s AI Analytics. Use cases include:
Notifying security teams when a flagged individual or known intruder enters your premises.
Informing customer service staff when a VIP or regular customer arrives to deliver personalized experiences.
Alerting management when a key staff member or authorized personnel appears, supporting improved coordination and workflow.

License Plate of Interest Alert
Detect the presence of specific vehicle license plates, either identified through Coram’s AI Analytics, or manually entered. Use cases include:
Notifying goods-in staff when a known delivery vehicle arrives, reducing processing times and improving supply chain efficiency.
Alerting security staff about a flagged vehicle associated with suspicious activity, helping to enhance overall security measures.
Informing parking management when a registered or permitted vehicle enters, streamlining entry and ensuring compliance.

Trespassing Alert
Detect the entry of people or vehicles into a no-entry zone during custom timeframes. Use cases include:
Detecting any people or vehicles entering hazardous areas or restricted industrial zones during specified hours to ensure compliance and safety.
Alerting school administrators if any person or vehicle enters restricted zones like playgrounds, parking areas, or staff-only zones, during after-school hours or holidays.
Alerting homeowners if any vehicle drives into private driveways or restricted zones, especially late at night.

Firearm Detection Alert
Detect the presence of unholstered or threatening firearms. Use cases include:
Alerting security at stadiums, malls, or airports when a long rifle, large firearm, or unholstered pistol or is detected, to initiate immediate safety protocols.
Providing early detection of potential threats at schools, enabling faster lockdowns and effective law enforcement response.
Assisting law enforcement agencies by detecting and notifying teams about visible firearms in high-risk areas.

Idling Alert
Detect the presence of people or vehicles that are idle for specified amounts of time, during custom timeframes. Use cases include:
Detecting individuals lingering suspiciously near high-value items or in unauthorised areas of a store.
Notifying facility managers about vehicles idling for extended periods in loading zones, fire lanes, or reserved parking spaces.
Notifying traffic management teams about vehicles idling in busy areas, potentially causing congestion, environmental harm, or reductions in efficiency.

Absence Alert
Detect the absence of people, vehicles, or motion after a specified amount of time, during custom timeframes. Use cases include:
Alerting security staff if a guard station or reception desk is unoccupied when it should be staffed.
Notifying facility managers if a key operational zone, such as a loading dock, remains without the expected vehicle or movement, potentially affecting productivity.
Informing event organizers if a monitored area intended for steady foot traffic or vehicle presence shows no activity, enabling swift intervention or adjustments.

Alerts Feed
The Alerts Feed is a streamlined list that allows you to efficiently monitor and review all alert activity across your system.

The feed provides a comprehensive, sortable table where you can review the activity that triggered your alerts. Each row in the feed corresponds to one instance of activity that triggered an alert, and contains the following additional details:
Alert Name: The name of the alert that was triggered.
Alert Type: The category of the alert, such as Person of Interest or Trespassing.
Trigger Time: The exact time and date that the alert was activated.
Camera: The camera that captured the activity.
Location: Where the event occurred.
Event Clip: A video clip of the incident for quick review.
To help you find specific events quickly, you can easily filter alerts by type, location, or date. Additionally, the table supports sorting by any column, and searching across every column.
