WebRTC Streaming

An introduction to WebRTC Streaming with your Coram Point

Updated this week

Overview

Coram Point offers real-time video streaming using WebRTC technology. This feature allows you to view live video with a latency of only 2 seconds.

Notes:

  • WebRTC streaming is only available for Timeline View, Personal Wall, and the Coram mobile app. The Coram team is continuously working to expand the availability of this feature.

  • Only users with admin rights can manage WebRTC settings.

Bandwidth Usage

Enabling WebRTC streaming can result in increased bandwidth usage. In order to achieve lower latency, Coram leverages peer-to-peer connections between Coram Point and your browser, so when multiple users are watching the same camera simultaneously, bandwidth usage adds up.
