We support any ONVIF-compliant PTZ camera and provide users with native controls for pan, tilt, and zoom. Using ONVIF, we automatically detect if a camera has PTZ capabilities. If it does, the controls are displayed on the individual camera view on the timeline page.
PTZ controls
To access PTZ controls, go to the single camera view on the timeline page and click the PTZ icon on the right side of the video. This action switches the camera to real-time video streaming mode, which may take a few seconds. After that, the user can control the PTZ. If the camera supports only zoom, the user will see only the zoom control.
Enable PTZ auto-tracking
Coram PTZ cameras come with an auto-tracking feature that follows moving people and vehicles until they exit the camera's field of view. Once tracking is complete, the camera returns to its home position. PTZ auto-tracking for Coram AI cameras can be enabled in the camera settings.
Troubleshooting: PTZ controls are not available for a PTZ camera
When this occurs, it usually means we cannot automatically detect the ONVIF profile for the camera, so we revert to the default RTSP video streaming profile. You can confirm this by going to the camera settings and checking if the ONVIF icon, located next to the RTSP URL, is highlighted in green. If the ONVIF icon is not highlighted, PTZ controls will not be available.
